Cycle rally to instill and ignite patriotism among the people – Shri Tejasvi Surya

Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ : Central Reserve Police Force ( CRPF) Kanyakumari to Raj Ghat (New Delhi) cycle rally reaches Rajendra Nagar, Ranga Reddy Dist

Hyderabad, 08th September, 2021 – As an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements, under ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ the Central Reserve Police Force’s Cycle Rally from Kanyakumari to Raj Ghat (New Delhi) which began on 22 Aug 2021 from Kanyakumari, has reached Hyderabad.

Shri Tejasvi Surya, Member of Parliament pedaled with the rally from Prof. Jaya Shankar Telangana State Agricultural University Rajender Nagar to Group Centre CRPF, Chandrayangutta Hyderabad covering around 10 Km of distance. CRPF Officers Shri A. Srinivas, DIG Range CRPF Hyderabad, Shri Raj Kumar, DIG Southern Sector HQ also cycled with team from Rajender Nagar to GC CRPF Hyderabad.

Sh. Tejasvi Surya, MP, Bengaluru South who graced the event as the chief guest appreciated the efforts of CRPF team for conducting the cycle rally .Addressing the gathering he said Prime Minister has initiated Azadi ka Amruth Mahotsav activities to reminisce freedom fighters and freedom struggle on 75 years of India’s Independence. He said the aim of the rally is to instill and ignite patriotism among the people.
Smt. Rashmi Shukla, IPS, ADG, South Zone; Sh. G. V. H. Giri Prasad, IGP, CRPF, South Zone and Sh. Mahesh Chandra Laddha, IPS, IGP CRPF, Southern Sector, Hyderabad were present at the event.

The Cycle rally will cover 70 to 80 Km a day while visiting historically significant places related to freedom struggle enroute, cherishing the great sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and apprising people about the historic celebrations of ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’.The rally will culminate at Raj Ghat on 2nd October 2021, covering a total distance of 2850 Km.
