Every Citizens Should forget about Caste, Creed and Religion and feel proud of being an Indian Citizen. 

 

Republic day  is a national day which is celebrated through out the country on January 26th with a lot of enthusiasm, pride and happiness imbibed with a feeling of patriotism in their minds. This patriotic day  honors  the day  on which the constitution of India came into effect on January 26th 1950 replacing the Government of India Act(1935) as the governing document of India. The constitution of India was adopted  by the Indian constituent assembly on 26th Jan 1950 with a democratic government system. Purna Swaraj was proclaimed by the Indian National Congress. Republic day is a day inculcated with a honour saluting and paying a grand tribute to all the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for freedom. Dr BR Ambedkar  was the pioneer for the amendment of constitution.

Students from various schools and colleges take active part in portraying the roles of freedom fighters in fancy dress competitions, apart from it they also engage in parade, flag  decoration, speech, collection, essay writing, painting, quiz competitions, patriotic skits, dances. On this auspicious day every citizen should take an oath to protect the country from invaders and work hard applying innovative thoughts which are essential for the country development. In Corporate offices, schools and colleges a flag is hoisted  by a prominent person and delivers a valuable speech which motivates them to bring a drastic change in themselves for the betterment of the country. The grand republic day celebrations will commence at New Delhi at Rajpath Nagar which reveals the unity in diversity of culture and heritage. The President addreses the parade and salutes the ferocious officers in the defense system, in addition to it huge number of crowds gather to witness this event every year. The parade begins from Rashtrapati Bhavan  followed by Raisina hills – India gate.

All the three wings of the defense system army,navy and air force display their various arms, weapons, tanks, huge guns, military band display different tunes, NCC cadets also portray a significant role . Tricolor feets are performed by helicopters and tricolor balloons are released in air which symbolizes peace purity and patience. On this day it is mandatory for every citizen to take an oath to make the country prosperous.The brave police officers do march fast displaying our weapons and saluting the country. All politicians from different party’s, dignitaries and the President attend the republic day celebrations. Similarly children from different schools wear tricolour uniform,caps, badges and interact with the President to showcase their skills , and the brave children will be honoured by the President and will be allotted certificate which is very worthy to tender hearts. 

Many freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi,Bal Gangadhar Tilak,Bhagat Singh, Alluri Sita Rama Raju, Lalalajpat Rai,Mangal Pandey, Subhash Chandra Bose, Jhansi Rani,Bipin Chandra Pal,Chandra  Shekhar Azad, Chittaranjan  Das, Dadabhai Naoroji, Jawaharlal Nehru, Ram Mohan Rao, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, Sardar Vallabhai Patel, Sukhdev, Acharya Kripalani,  Madan Mohan Malaviya, Pandit Bal Krishna Sharma, Sucheta Kripalani, Udam Singh, Vithalbhai patel, Annie Besant, Acharya Narendra Dev, Kasturba Gandhi, Raja Gopala chari, DR.B.R Ambedhkar, Bahadur Shah Zafar, Sarojini Naidu, Tantia Tope,  K.M.Munshi  struggled a lot under the British rule but never gave up nor shook the head down to fetch us freedom from slavery.On this significant patriotic day all Indians should remember these brave patriotic leaders sacrifice and regard them as their role models to modify their lifestyle and tackle problems in their mere future.

 

Significance of National Flag:  The Indian National Flag was designed by eminent personality Pingali Venkayya. It is made of Khadi with a special type of hand spun cloth or silk made by Mahatma Gandhi. Manufacturing is put forward by Bureau of India Standards. Saffron indicates courage, sacrifice for Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism, green – culture and heritage, white – peace, purity and patience. The Chakra has 24 spokes  which represents  24 hours in a day. National Flag imparts  a nations own unique identity,proclaims to world of its sovereignty. Ashok Chakra – righteousness, justice. Chakra denotes wheel of law and dharma it represents dynamism. 

Therefore it is mandatory for all teachers and parents to teach and guide their children about the significance of republic day and motivate them to participate them in a lot of cultural activities, admiration towards partiality and always strive hard for the country’s growth.
